Good morning my fine peeps!
It’s the old “took my car to the shop, but it wouldn’t make that noise” story.
The blower motor on our AC unit quit blowing.
If it cools anything outside, I don’t know, because it doesn’t blow whatever it’s doing into the house.
But a few minutes ago, when Ken, the AC man got here, it worked fine.
Just a-hummin’.
He thanked me for calling him, told me he couldn’t find anything that wasn’t working OK, and gave me that look you give someone when you realize they haven’t the ability to tell whether or not their AC fan is inoperative and started to leave.
When it quit.
He could tell exactly what was happening. He had tested the motor but the problem was the circuit board controlling the fan, so that was half a success. The other half is now finding a replacement circuit board.
I think there are plenty more years left in my AC unit, but some think not. It is a 1957 model with the fins on it, but it’s a collector’s item!
So that’s today’s adventure before us.
Beulah Mae and the kids will be here tomorrow for the weekend, and they’re not always gracious when uncomfortable.
And for now, it’s time for me to make that sad little struggling noise like an Air Conditioning fan trying to come on.
We have some WRITING TIPS today, mirabile dictu!
