Medium or Substack first?

Good morning my fine peeps!
Today is Wednesday. It’s participation day.
Not so much like “what I did on my summer vacation,” as “Gosh, I could sure use your help” day. This is a short but very important journal entry.
I have recently read ( I am reading almost constantly. ) from writers who write for both Medium and Substack, so I guess I’m asking this of people in a similar situation, who also write for both.
The story I just read proclaimed they had begun writing for their Substack first, and then a couple of days later, published it on Medium. I have tried it both ways, and I can’t really say which was better for me.
But this particular writer wrote that most of the earnings were from Substack, with a significant portion coming from Medium, and a good deal from related product sales.
So I ask you.
Do you write new articles for both Medium and for Substack, or do you recycle your content on both, and which one do you publish in first?
I am sorry to deal with this in an article of its own, but I am hoping to get more comment participation here than occurs regularly.
Thank you in advance for your comments!

ps. I will try today publishing in my substack first, and let you know how it goes.
I wouln’t read past here. -
It’s the old “took my car to the shop, but it wouldn’t make that noise” story.
The blower motor on our HVAC unit quit blowing.
If it cools anything outside, I don’t know, because it doesn’t blow whatever it’s doing into the house.
But a few minutes ago, when Ken, the HVAC man got here, it worked fine.
Just a-hummin’.
He thanked me for calling him, told me he couldn’t find anything that wasn’t working OK, and gave me that look you give someone when you realize they haven’t the ability to tell whether or not their AC fan is inoperative and started to leave.
When it quit.
He could tell exactly what was happening. He had tested the motor but the problem was the circuit board controlling the fan, so that was half a success. The other half is now finding a replacement circuit board.
I think there are plenty more years left in my HVAC unit, but some think not. It is a 1957 model with the fins on it, but it’s a collector’s item!
So that’s today’s adventure before us.
Beulah Mae and the kids will be here tomorrow for the weekend, and they’re not always gracious when uncomfortable.
And for now, it’s time for me to make that sad little struggling noise like an Air Conditioning fan trying to come on.
We have some WRITING TIPS today, mirabile dictu!

Since the recent issues with Medium, I write more on Substack (notes mostly), I am working on a Medium and Substack article for this weekend.
