I have noticed lately that a lot of people have been asking me about some rigid, pragmatic, template-type method of writing articles, books, or short stories.
Well, I can’t help you.
Some of you who have read my writing before may know that my stories write themselves, and I only judge them as to, on a scale of one to ten, how badly does it make me laugh my a** off while I am reading it?
So let’s stop right now and understand that writing has to be fun. Not necessarily FUNNY, but fun. It should not be a chore to write or read. Don’t start out with something to prove or something to accomplish.
Start out to have fun. Lighten up. Enjoy what you are doing. It will come across in that which you write.
Eat, sleep, write.
Actually, it’s eat, sleep, work your present job to pay bills, then write early or late, or at lunch.
A Collection of Niche Brothers Stories You May Have Missed
While you were busy reading some GOOD writing…

It’s the afternoon. You and your brother, Scooter, are stuck in the apartment. Mom’s gone. You’re bored. You have nothing else there to amuse yourselves except three frosted bottles of Gilbey’s Gin on the window sill.
You each throw back a couple of sipper-cups full and decide on a great game to play.
“Let’s pretend to give new writers advice, and make a fortune!” Scooter exclaimed.
“Sounds legit,” I replied. “They’ll buy anything that comes in five or more emails and calls itself a course.”
“We need to hurry before Mom gets home and sees we haven’t split that stack of infinitives she left for us.
And the rest, of course, is history.
Here, in order of original appearance are the episodes you may have missed.

Today’s song was also introduced to me by Mr. Williams, my high school music teacher. Even though it has been a very long time, it’s not finished yet.
Like my third novel, it starts out well but then makes a fool out of me, deciding to spend the rest of its earthly existence on my to-do list.
So here it is, by Franz Schubert. Our project, this weekend, then is to finish it up and share it with everyone.
Please remember, Franz had more in mind than just two verses and a chorus with this darlin. No. it’s far more nuanced than that! That may be why he never played the Opry.
