Writers on Suicide Watch
Because of crickets.

I know, I’ve been there.
I would go from pumping out prose to sorrow on the stats page. To reinforce my thinking, I read
David B. Clear’s advice about writing yesterday. It is great!
I’ve been here at Medium for a couple of years, almost a thousand stories.
But sometimes a good one dies young.
Some stories I think turned out pretty well, and I can judge, because I have a built-in laugh meter. when I read or see something I think is funny, I laugh. I try to be quiet about it until eventually, I start to shake like the proverbial bowl full of jelly. then I know it is good. If my wife asks me “What’s so funny?” that cinches it. But sometimes a good one dies young.
