How about “never?”

No, I am not being anti-ProBowl at all here. No kick-off.
I LOVE football.
I weep at the end of each year’s season, knowing it’s a long wait until the next August.
People have tried to interest me in soccer, and hockey, and that game where you try to throw a little beanbag into a hole in a board across the yard, but these are far from football.
Football can be a rough game, I know. But society has done much in the last few years to “unroughen” it. Helmets, pads, bubble-wrap.
It seemed for a minute that someone was almost trying to emasculate the sport. I am quite sure that someone will be mad at me for saying it, but, last year one of my favorite college teams even had a lady kicker on the squad. (And, yes, she was great!)
I guess I’m just saying that I miss football. The old football.
Of course, not having kick-offs anymore will help save some injury someday, but will it be many more seasons before we just start playing football by secret ballot? Won’t that be fun to watch!
