Here’s a quick look.

Hi, I'm a writer.
I have been told all my writing life that I should not write and/or publish on the weekend because nobody reads on the weekend. Nobody else writes on the weekend.
I personally woke up early today, Saturday, and could not go back to sleep. The calendar told me it was the weekend, so I was at a loss for something to do to entertain myself.
We powerful writers almost never write ahead and save those resources for the right time. We are extemporaneous and spontaneous. We never eat to prevent being hungry in an hour or so.
So I went down to the blood bank or my side hustle as some of my writer friends call it, and they were closed because of some monkeypox deal.
I then walked past the huge windows down at the Edmondson Pike public library and made faces at all the people who were obviously just looking at pictures in magazines, or using the internet for free.
That lasted a while, but not long enough.
I took a couple of selfies for my bio in front of the deserted bank.
I ran into an old writer buddy of mine who was contemplating jumping over to Quorum. Hopefully, I talked him off the ledge.
As the sun finally sunk low, I found myself walking past a pond where three or four ducks were happily paddling along. Poor ducks.
They haven’t been told yet that nobody paddles on the weekend.
Thanks for your time!
I encourage you to subscribe to my budding newsletter called “The Storyteller” which will give you regular insight into the extra content and outtakes of this area. The subscription will also give you two more important things you might not have now. 1) A copy of “A Year of Martin,” about 216 pages of stupidity, and 2) the ability to unsubscribe, and drop me like third period French.
I thank you again for your time, and I stand in continued amazement and gratitude.
I see you’re already smiling, so why not go ahead and join Don’s extra-content “STORY-TELLER” newsletter, coming with extra smiles and the book “A Year of Martin!”
