It is so good to see you.
One of our jobs here on the ranch is to bring stories into this world. They multiply, and we try to raise them right.
We study the art of writing and sometimes the art of writing for Medium.
We always have time to study how to make money with our writing. Or more money than we're making now.
Having as many acres here as we do, we welcome other cowboys sometimes to work on their own herds of stories. Some of them may raise theirs differently than the way I raise mine. It’s all good.
Before you pick out your bunk, let me show you the rules we go by.
Little about writing is intuitive. These tips have become a list I use myself. Per step number six, I don’t mind sharing with others.
You can’t do everything at once but you can do one thing at once — “start small, and start immediately.” -Cal Newport
Don’t just set goals — track your goals. Journal their daily progress
Practice writing daily. Start with 30 minutes. Get up early if you must.
Surround yourself with people who represent what you want to become.
Read every day.
Teach someone else.
Dress for success. You can dress like you work on the ranch, or you can dress like you own the ranch.
I truly appreciate your being here.
I am told that my writing is a bit odd around the edges. I have been told that a couple of people actually enjoy reading it, so my ranch will be a place where a lot of my stories may live.
We will deal primarily with writing and creating here.
