Thursday's Daily
Kickstarting September, based on one of my earlier posts from July 8.
Today’s entry depends on certain premises.
I’m a writer.
I live a writer’s life.
You care.
Well, thanks for caring.
My sweet wife helps my writing life in so many ways. She makes me a bowl of oatmeal and puts a touch of my favorite spice in it each morning. I will say, the D-con has a residual effect, and although the flavor is awesome, after a while, I start hearing voices and seeing visions. Some of my best imaginary friends probably come from my morning meals.
This, then is the usual plan for the morning’s writing schedule.
I wake up. I eat oatmeal because of both my cholesterol, and because my literary agent and Ray Bradbury told me to. Yes, I am trying for some new fiction for my portfolio. Fiction and more books.
I have decided that non-fiction is a cop-out. it requires no imagination or creativity. If you are writing historical works, it has already happened. If you are writing how-to stuff about something you don’t already know about, just look it up. somebody has already written about it. So, be a planner, grab an outline, and throw something in it,
Fiction, on the other hand, is often a challenge.
So, “Hello challenge.”

Thanks!
It has been a crazy holiday weekend full of frivolity and partying with my family and the squibs.
This is indeed a new chapter of my life.
My old life used to be based on income from the articles, and the stories I have written. And I have written almost 1100 at this point. They work some. Mostly in their youth, but some continue to work on and on, bringing me a little money each month.
I have written pieces in Medium, Newsbreak, Quora, and several publications, in addition to penning a few books.
You know, writing for the sake of writing.
My new direction will point more toward books. Microbooks, to be precise. They have become more popular and profitable than other books.
My subsequent articles will no longer be self-serving, as I am, but, rather, they will show readers exciting glimpses at, and directions to, my books. In the process, I will be trying very hard to assemble my list of readers in one place, instead of letting them be spread out on different platforms. That way, when a new book comes out, I can email one note instead of six or eight. I have also noticed, on some of the platforms, there is more and more control and censorship of sorts, so best to get away from all that.
All frivolity aside, my sign-off will include, most importantly, where you can find a book or books of mine, and where you can join us in our quest for literary freedom.
Thank you so much for reading!
