To upgrade my businesses.

I am a writer who writes about several topics and for several reasons.
I used to write on tiny pieces of paper and used envelopes. I graduated to legal pads and notebooks which at least kept my writing altogether in the “my writing” category.
Sure, I use Word. I use Drive. I use Scrivener. I still use notebooks and tiny pieces of paper. But less.
1. It brings order to my writing
I started using Medium recently and found that I could put a greater degree of order to my creativity there. It disciplines me into more complete thoughts rather than hit or miss ideas.
I also write for several different websites and blogs. Two of them are most important to my existence.
2. It brings exposure to my writing.
My real estate blog works hand in hand with my listing input site to be the bread and butter of my income. In addition to being instructional and educational, many of the books and articles I write point customers and prospects in my direction.
I have spent a lot of money before trying to get a higher placement in search engines. I mean a lot of money. Writing articles, books and blogs do the same thing organically, in a much more effective and inexpensive manner.
So that blog subject puts food on my table.
A second website, this one for my writing, introduces people to some of my other creative endeavors like my books and digital resources. Though not my bread and butter, they are certainly my jelly and jam.
3. It brings inventory to the resources I can offer.
Medium gives purpose and structure to my writing. This one’s for me. This one’s for the mortgage. This one is for me. This one is for the grocer.
Medium gives me more sales and more things to sell. It stimulates my out-of-the-box thinking. It also gives me a potter’s wheel on which to take that thinking and eventually combine the pieces and parts into a THING.
I will present more reasons in another meeting. Why do you write for Medium?
