I like to laugh. I like to write. Hopefully, this newsletter may let us both do more of them. I hope you enjoy it and consider joining me.

Showing vulnerability.
This is me. I have been told to show vulnerability.
I will therefore tell you of a couple of items that still make me feel traumatized.
The horrible chainsaw accident still haunts me. I was in pre-school, down in Chattanooga, when a well-meaning buddy named Jim Oxford, decided to shorten the length of my beak to give my face more symmetry. He used a playschool chainsaw, the commercial, “redwood” model, and tried to make me look like a movie star. My extended snout facial balance alteration is still talked about today.
Just to toss in another area of vulnerability that I have, is the fact that on my right leg I have two shins. To this day, I am too embarrassed to wear shorts or swimming trunks, much less a kilt.
Considering all this anguish I have, it’s no wonder I am so insecure about getting subscribers. Also, the five-star drive-through window at Arthur’s in the Union Station Hotel will no longer let me run a tab. (Not the diet cola.)
Folk wisdom department. Show communication and caring, not creepiness.
