Good morning, it is Saturday!
Yep, Saturday.
Here is what’s happening right now.
My sweet wife is in the driveway, out front, involved in commerce. Yes. that’s right, she’s part of a gigantic yard sale in our snooty gated community.
Though it’s Saturday, we had to get up at five something. even though I can’t really walk or carry anything for her, it does make me feel more included when she lets me sit in my chair and complain bitterly about it. Part of the action, you know.
So I’ve done my part for an hour or so now, and I am getting tired and more than a little peckish.
Real Estate
I try to only work that part of my different jobs during conventional working hours, and I try to make certain that I have those help desk hours posted and visible on every page of my websites and email, including written instructions and sometimes spoken instructions have been known to escape the radar of my customers.
It’s only fair that my yard sale griping be interrupted by my customer’s griping. Karma, you know?
So, yes, I am already getting my share of real estate business on a writing business day, but it’s ok. All business is a blessing.
The Writer’s Guild
I am called a real-life writer, the sensei of our rough crowd writers class. Write on. Write off.
Now you have it.
The essence of our rough crowd courses
Ingredients for Radical, High-quality, Medium Success.
1. Write a paragraph.
Write another paragraph.
Write as much as you can.
Write all the time.
If you’re worried about ideas to write about, grab my free PDF checklist to help you.
2. Get eyes on your writing.
Expose the stories to as many people as you can. Then expose some more.
Followers vs Subscribers.
They both are good to have if you are a writer, but one is better.
When you hit publish on your latest story, here’s what happens.
If you have a follower, your story will show up in the (massive) feed of stories you like. if you are in the reading mode right then, and you look in your feed, you can find the story.
If you have a subscriber, your story will be sent to their inbox whether they are looking for it or not.
So the chances of a reader reading it are much greater. And that’s what it’s all about.
We’re going to talk about this a lot more.
Last thought.
These are the two legs on which your writing successes stand. As with everything else, they can be complicated, or they can be real-life, no-theory.
Thank you for being a friend, You are welcome here. Come back any time.
