Don't think for a minute we don't know what it's like to get that big cosmic frown, that nasty side-eye from the whole universe. It’s rough.
It’s not because we are trying to offer a BRIBE to SUBSCRIBE, but because we offer so many.
But we have such giving hearts and so many choices of items to delight and entertain, that they kept taking up more and more room at the end of our stories.
Then we got the meteoric Medium scowl. We could just feel it. Time to back off the thrusters, no matter how generous we were.
One of the analytical peeps in the bean-counter department came up with an idea to find a deserted planet, and stash all our highly tempting booty there for subscribers’ consumption since we were currently involved in a huge subscription drive.
That way, we could avoid flapping the unflappable by wasting too many column inches with B-reel material.
Besides, half the time we can't be sure the delivery mechanism is going to work every time, so if we end up with a few would-be subscribers crashed on an uncharted planet until we could figure out how to rescue them, so what?
