Perennial Update Concerning My Updates
A regular feature about my regular features
This stuff never gets old.
Because I always update it.
Oh, how I admire writers like Kristen Stark who must just wake up hilarious every morning, and August Birch who blue-collars his way through each story in its own turn with no delays!
My crutch.
I, on the other hand, must rely on recycling, reruns, recaps, and other re-words I feel odd using these days.
And from time to time, I find it advantageous to simply publish a new schedule of my recaps. I do have to space them out during the week, so I don’t overload my creative genius.
It’s advantageous for my own internal organization, sort of “inside Martin” stuff, so fewer people will wonder to themselves, “why is he doing THAT right now?”
But also it’s the opportunity to “pad” my writing inventory and consequently the number of links I can include in any given story.
At the end of the story, in a perfect world, you should be able to ask, “what did he REALLY say?” And your answer should be “well… I’m not sure.”
