And I do.
My usual readers know I read other stories. I also read the comments people make to me as well.
Lately, I have received a couple of words of advice that have caused me to scratch my head.

One said people don’t like it when someone thinks they are a “real” writer when they really haven’t been writing long or have many followers.
Another told me that to be a good writer I needed to meditate and visualize myself as a unicorn or my spirit animal.
Yet another recommended I discover my perfect and ideal reader persona and write as if to them.
Just when I was seriously thinking about using these theories in my own writing, my ideal reader persona had some bad luck in a turn lane on Nolensville Pike, and now they are in rehab for some injuries
But you know what I still have? I am still a “real-life” (not “real”) writer, who believes in working hard at writing and doesn’t believe that unicorns can be much help, and I do still give down-to-earth writing tips.
Thanks for reading!
