An idea is the use of pre-existing elements or their components in new combinations for new uses.
New combinations make the basis for jokes and humor, as well as pharmacology and snack foods.
Sometimes we must analyze elements more deeply to discover their smaller building blocks before we find new uses or combinations for them. Of course, medicine has been the biggest recipient of the idea process.
As was the Seinfeld TV show, a show about nothing in particular.
Imagination is the laboratory where many of these new combinations start. I hope in these days of “the great resignation,” new ideas are not beginning to run low.
Enjoyment of reruns of tv shows and low-content news broadcasts is fortunate as much of our creative effort goes into direct-to-the-consumer advertising of new pharmacological discoveries to keep our consumer-driven economy from slumping.
