When I first started writing here at Medium, whole intact stories would just ooze from my every pore, like oil from my 12-cylinder E-type.

It was slippery on my driveway, but it was lovely the way it caught the sun.
Now that I am older and my therapist and I have worked out that whole
“planner-pantser” identity problem, I feel much less likely to be embarrassed by looking like a nerd, and carrying my idea book everywhere I go.
Every idea I have, or question I ask myself, I write down in the idea book.
I even read my past stories for ideas.
PRONOTE: You cannot technically plagiarize yourself.
After I have collected more than three, I select my three favorites and add 3–5 sub-topics to each. I try to expand each to a total of 200–500 words.
I build my number of raw ideas constantly, still pulling out three a day and turning them into stories. These three will pay exponential interest back to the writer.
Do you keep an idea book?
How often do you plant/harvest in it for stories?
How many do you try for daily? weekly?
Thanks for reading!
