Overcoming unpredictability in my phone

I use my cell phone a lot.
I use it in my business. I don't just chat like a school kid.
Customers gone wild!
One evening last weekend, my customers had become so needy for my attention, that their calls continued, not only after business hours but well into the night.
This neediness seemed to continue the next day until I decided to try something new.
I worked with it until I found a way to send all my call to voicemail except those from my family members. And I have to say that the calls from my customers were fairly unimportant questions that could easily wait until the next workday.
I was pleased with my results the rest of the weekend.
Monday morning
The next Monday I turned off the “do not disturb” and the phone worked as normal for a couple of days.
Then it rang and I attempted to answer it to no avail. I swiped. I pushed. I couldn't answer.
I went to the settings area from different screens and different angles to try things. I tried various combinations and permutations of settings. I could not even google my way to help.
I have missed several calls in the ensuing days as I have alternately tried swiping and pushing and rebooting.
This morning I was trying once again to answer my phone when I had to sneeze. Somehow, the sneeze combined a push, a tap, and a swipe of the green phone icon ALL AT THE SAME TIME, such that a live person materialized on the line.
They were not as surprised as I that I had answered, but we did have a good conversation. And after the conversation ended, I wiped the snot off the phone.
Why this article?
So I write this article possibly for none of you. I will not name the phone, but I will not change the way I answer it either. Somewhere at another time,” if someone has to google “how to answer my phone”, this writing will turn up and be of some assistance.
Technology on demand.
Thank you for your time.
