Why do writers need to write?
Writers have to write.
Writing is a craft that requires not only the act of putting words down on paper or into the computer, but also involves planning, revising, and editing. Writers engage in the entire process of crafting a piece of work, which includes the idea, outline, research, and editing.
Much of a writer’s work happens in the writer’s mind. Thinking, observing, and reflecting are all aspects of the writing process. Writers often spend time mulling over ideas, considering character development, and contemplating plot points before physically starting to write.
Living life, having experiences, and interacting with the world are important for a writer. These experiences often become the part of their stories and influence the authenticity of their writing.
