Picture this.
It’s Saturday, and you and the fam are out on the lake, waterskiing, pounding down some grilled burgers, and generally having recreational frivolity.
You and the group have been looking forward to this day all week.
At the same time, a fleeting thought crosses your mind about also looking forward to the next load of journalism coming from Don Martin soon.
You think to yourself, “wow, I'm glad I follow him so I can be out here having a great time and still not miss a word from his enchanted Chromebook.”
Well, newsflash, Charles… just because you follow him, doesn't mean that you won't be part of the 95% of his followers who miss out this week.
The only way you can be sure to see everything he writes, and yet still be able to take off Saturday to have that fun, is to subscribe to the delivery service that ensures that story will be sitting in your inbox when the sun goes down and everybody rubbing on the aloe vera that evening.
The insidious part of my plan is that, when possible, I will reserve the very best stories to publish on the non-reading weekend, while everyone is swimming, or pulled over on I-65 for speeding, trying to get home in time before G-mail deletes any remote chance you had to read it.
I call this tough readership.
