Not Les (Paul), less stuff…

Write a lot?
In the past, in fact, the very recent past, I have been suggesting new writers try writing two or three articles a day and maintain consistency doing that as this article HERE.
This could mean a very high and exhausting word count, or as low as 300 to 450 words. Not too bad.
I personally have been trying smaller stories on more topics, and of course, my monkey mind has been in hot pursuit of a wealth of different topics. My stories were packed with as much variety as I could discover.
Full down to the last subscription line.
Then I discovered, by accident…
But then later, I was trying to fit one into a short form, and I was editing like crazy. I got it crammed into a short form and published it.
To sum it up, I did three hacks.
I clearly stated what the story was going to be about.
2. I told the story.
3. I cut out all the fat that I had accidentally included. ALL the fat, not just the EXCESS fat.
To the bone, not just word count but thought count too. Cut it to less.
Cut it to less.
Still try to do less two or three times a day.
My views and subscriptions have started to come up already and I’ll keep you posted.
