Storyteller here.
There was a TV show a long time ago called “I Led Three Lives.”
I actually remember watching it and thinking it was pretty cool.
I now think it pretty strange that I remember life from before I started school, but I do recall a lot. I won’t even start down that path with you right now, but remembering everything is great at times. at other times it’s not so great.
But the storyline was wonderful.
It aired in the United States from 1953 to 1956.
It was a dramatic series based on the life of Herbert Philbrick, an American citizen who worked undercover for the FBI during the 1940s and 1950s to infiltrate Communist organizations in the United States.
The show's title refers to Philbrick's triple life: as a family man, a salesman, and an undercover agent.
The reason I mention that is the fact that as you may know, I have been struggling with a couple of newsletter ideas that are both needed and possible for me to do. They have existed in various forms and incarnations for a long time, but like wet matches, none of them have truly caught on.
I know, in my heart there is some secret sauce that will be the answer to my question, but I’m still looking for it.
What do I have in common with Herbert Philbrick?
I need different communications for diverse groups that don’t really have anything in common enough to enjoy one newsletter.
It’s starting to look as though I need three different newsletters.
A personal, fun one for people who have read my writing and are not put off by it. Some are friends, some are family, some joined at my website, and some have liked or followed my writing at various places. I call myself a “humorist.”
A real estate newsletter for my past customers over the years and those also, who have joined at one of my real estate sites. I call myself a “broker.”
A content creation newsletter for those who like the idea of making a living with their brain and their writing skills. This is no advanced material, as I, too, am still learning. I call myself a “writer and author.”
Gotta go for now…
It’s been a sleepy small-town sort of day today in Nashville.
