Importance of tags on medium
I have discovered two ways to use the Medium tags.
The first way I have used them is at the beginning of a new story, as a “troop leader,” giving direction to the story as it is being written. This gives the piece an overall purpose to be followed. This type could be represented by the “inspiration” tag perhaps. It is a glorious tag.
The second way is at the end, after the story has been written, to try to describe where you have been, as in the “barely above worthy of deletion” tag. This type of tag is always trying to catch up with the story, and tell it where to sit. As a tag, it spends most of its time trying to justify its own existence.
