It has been pointed out to me that I am not serious enough to be a writer, especially on a platform that has this many readers.
Someone noticed that in all my stories published since I started here, I have failed to reveal whether I am liberal or conservative. I haven’t claimed to be a democrat or republican.
I haven’t taken sides in any argument, except that infinitive-splitting thing.
I haven’t described myself in any way that significantly differs from any other person. No special proclivities or leanings.
I do not ask the reader to be or act any certain way.
I have not been edgy in any activity or conversation. I don’t use profanity. I’m actually a bore.
I do not use this audience to support my cause, agenda, or mission.
Surely, I cannot be taken seriously.
