We wonder if David Perlmutter ever wishes that in the desk right next to his highlighter, was a different drawer where he keeps his “white-out” for lines he wishes he had never read.
“Some of this literature you just can’t unsee,” he said.
Literature-types and lit-critic-types all tend toward their own level of propriety where they can exaggerate their like or dislike of subject works without sounding too coarse.
Refined is as refined speaks, and so opinions are shackled.
The fact is that I accidentally used the word “pantload” in a previous story. It seems to have been met with some disapproval.
Word-count guidelines prevent me from footnoting my pieces with the unabridged dictionary, so, for now, you may just have to trust me.
P.S. In fact, you could bust on over HERE and I’d be happy to send you a note whenever I publish one of these “stories.” Don’t miss out!
