Last month I tried to publish 2 a day

I have a quick admission to make here at the beginning. I am still pretty new here at Medium, although I am longer in the tooth when judged by my actual writing chops.
Results
Last month I discovered and pointed out the obvious, as quantified in my personal experience. I noted the exponential results of a small increase in effort.
Now today I am pleased to report further progress. I tried (tried) to increase my output from an article a day to two stories a day.
The results were almost tripled my already increased views.
Results, of course, may vary, and my numbers are still embarrassingly low, but the bean-counter in me loves to see things in black and white.
Totals
Once I have something quantified in terms of exact totals, then and only then, do I feel free to generalize about it in some vague way. This is my personal path to a murky sort of enlightenment.
The next variable I intend to deal with, though it may be old news and already proven to many, is the length of the story. Some love the short form. Some say 8 or 10 minutes is the free ticket to curation. My sweet spot seems to be around two or three minutes.
I have not decided yet if that shorter story length is due to a rejection of my style or my topics or my personality in general. Some blame it on the readers, but we know that is wrong to think that readers are ever involved enough to be a part of the equation.
In addition to story length, I am arguing with myself as to headlines, points of view, and self-aggrandizement as they affect the popularity of different stories.
Writer Squeezin’s
Many are starting to feel that my dark and serious writing style should be exiled to my Writer Squeezins Ranch, where my contemplative style would be more generally accepted, so we are working on that, too.
There is much more work to do. Thank you for your time!
