Let’s be brutally honest here. Realistically, new writers on Medium can expect to make anywhere from $0 to a few hundred dollars in their first year, with most leaning toward the lower end.

How those four factors are rated quantitatively in any way is, I guess, the $64,000 question. and after studying and reading for a year and a half, I still have not chased down all those answers. Yet still I chase.

That’s a lot to do in the first year.
