To our school calendar this year

If you live in a different hemisphere from me, then may you have no idea we are going through our spring rain and thunderstorms time here.
The department of common sense has previously mentioned a possible increase in missing or over-parenting skills and a corresponding decrease in the commitment of students to their own education.
It was finally reported to us yesterday that at least one elementary school had received the “are we having school today?” phone call.
“It is thundering.”
Weather delays may be a thing at sporting events, but new to education except for snow and ice.
And the thunder in our area was so terrible, that little elementary students were accompanied by parents the rest of the morning to the office to receive late excuses for the rain.
Thank you for your time.
