Having My Own Publication
I didn’t fully realize the best part until now.
The best part is not just being able to publish a New Year’s story at 12:01 on January 1, or anytime I want to if I went to sleep.
It’s not just being able to publish 1oo stories on just one day about writer’s cramp.
It’s not just being able to tell the diminutive, perky one with the eight-figure YouTube channel, “No, your submission doesn’t really fit our needs at this time…”
It’s not just about being able to write a letter to my followers.
It’s not just having the Brinks Truck scheduled to stop by my place on weekdays.
It’s just that it looks so damn good on my resume.
