Eleven Medium Stories in the First Half

Of a busy week!
My first goal last year was to accumulate a hundred stories I wrote.
Then I read about the beauty of having finished 150.
And then it was 200, and then 300, before being able to make money.
The very last one I read this morning suggested 700 as being a better story catalog amount. *groan*… I am only at twenty-five percent of that!
My problem is that writing is not my primary occupation. It’s not my main job. It’s more than a hobby, it’s like a part-time job.
Now I love what I am doing and the time I spend on it. But I am afraid I am getting to be like someone with a drinking problem.
I have some good and some bad days at work. Sometimes I miss deadlines. People are noticing my performance but they are not feeling comfortable confronting me about it.
So I guess you would say maybe I am a problem writer. Maybe I have a writing problem. It is starting to affect my family life. I make excuses and sacrifices to support my writing.
Sometimes I drive after I’ve been writing.
Sometimes I write alone.
In secret.
I’m a broken journalist, wondering where he lost control of his life. But I am still not completely ready to admit my writing problem yet, so I invite you to have a story with me. Maybe just a short one. Here is the first half of this week. See what you think.
I can’t really pick a favorite one yet, and I have a lot to do in the last half of this week, so stay as long as you want, help yourself, and we will talk later.
