I am asked sometimes, what is meant by “publish consistently” as an instruction to gain more reads and more followers on Medium. How often does that require?
Publishing consistently on Medium means posting new content on a regular basis. That’s all it takes to qualify.
This could be daily, weekly, biweekly, or monthly, depending on your schedule and the amount of content you can produce. The idea is to establish a regular cadence of publishing so that your audience knows when to expect new content from you.
Consistent publishing can help you build a following, improve your visibility on Medium, and increase the chances of your content being distributed through Medium’s algorithm.
The length of your stories or the topics you cover doesn’t apply to your consistency. They do apply to the type of readers you attract and your target audience. It is often best to establish your consistency first, then tweak your target audience next, and lastly increase your publishing (consistently) if you feel you need to.
