Yesterday, we opened the Department of Common Sense.
We engineered a nice, introductory story explaining its inception, and tried to reflect the general excitement here at the possibilities.
The story was not met with totally encouraging approval. We were sure that something so needed in this world be immediately embraced by readers.
On inspection of the stats (as I do frequently) we discovered the article was fairly popular among our fellow Mediumites, but bombed-out entirely out in the public.
One remark I recall in particular from an outsider was “We don’t need this kind of crap, Mr. Know-it-all,” and that one did sting a bit.
As I said before “I seem to write faster with hurt feelings,” so I intend to double down with this much-needed advice.
