Can I Publish My New Story on My Profile and Submit it to a Publication Later?

On Medium, can I publish a new story on my profile, and later move it to a Medium publication?
The answer is yes.
On Medium, you can publish an article on your personal profile and then move it to a publication later. When you publish an article on your profile, you have the option to “add to publication” under the settings for that article.
Move your story later
To move the article to a publication after publishing it on your profile, you can click on the “…” icon on the top right of the article, and select “Add to publication” from the dropdown menu. From there, you can choose the publication you want to add the article to.
Not all publications will let you
Keep in mind that not all publications accept articles that have already been published on a personal profile, so it’s always a good idea to check the publication’s guidelines before submitting. Some publications require exclusivity, meaning that they only accept articles that have not been published anywhere else, even on your own profile.
