The purpose of this regular communication is twofold.
To have a good time…
To present you a courtesy list of any stories that have been published since our last encounter, in case you have missed any… and
To give us a more facile and understandable method of communication. In fact, I hope you realize by now that simply canceling your subscription doesn’t say much to me at all. It only encourages me toward some evil prank other than writing. Of course, I say, “no hard feelings,” but you and I both know the hidden dangers of rejection and newsletter-shaming.
“Oops, I accidentally sent your copy to my neighbor’s dog!”

Not much for a whole week is it? I know, I usually write a dozen or more, but, honestly, this week, I was working on my seventeen newsletters and there was time for little else, when some smart-aleck up in Ohio canceled one of them, saying it hurt his feelings.
Wow.
Life surely must be tough for you. The joke was not about you. I don’t even know you. We don’t have this newsletter yet to communicate fully.
Remember, “Keep the humor dry and the puns obscure,” and we’ll get along just fine.
