BACKPAGES JOURNAL - TUESDAY, Nov 28, 2023 wk#48 - EMAIL EDITION
Middle of the beginning of the week.
It’s Tuesday, One of the two days known as Tuesday and Friday.
I am hoping we are both grounded a little better in our chronological and astral positioning. The reason that this is of any importance at all, is that, if you recall, I mentioned that I would increase this email from Fridays only, to a schedule that would include Tuesdays as well, since they are diametrically opposed to each other.
Here we are. There you are. As far as writing style goes, I have mentioned before that my autonomous story-writing style functions better under a couple of circumstances, 1. Fiction and 2. Familiar, non-fiction without the encumbrance of an outline. I will point out my writing style and the independence of my stories.
This publication, as I said, is being completed, tweaked, and perfected as we go. Such is my style, so any help or suggestions will be great!
MY NEWSLETTER UPDATE
This is a newsletter about three things.
It is about my writing for those peeps who enjoy my writing.
It’s about your writing, if you want to.
It’s about having some fun. Don’t knock it ‘til you’ve tried it.

TODAY’S SONG IN MY HEAD
I wanted to order a vintage Rolling Stones t-shirt to wear in our family Christmas Card picture we always take at Thanksgiving. I thought it would look great with the big lips and tongue going “aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa,” in the middle of our card, but my wife took umbrage and turned the idea down flat.
REAL-LIFE WRITING, BY SOMEONE ELSE
Here is a story by Forbes about writing a book.
MY REAL-LIFE WRITER’S LIFE
My life is little more than whimsical frivolity.
I can still hear my high school Latin teacher suggesting that I take declension and conjugation more seriously. While he had me pondering my life’s direction in study hall, he sneaked into the teachers’ lounge and had a beer with my English teacher. It was a private school.

QUESTIONS TO READERS
Do you feel two emails a week are too few, too many, just right? I am thinking of Fridays and Mondays or Tuesdays, for now, but please tell me what you think.
