IT WAS A FRUITFUL DAY YESTERDAY.
I did get a lot done.
I started with my daily writing first thing, which was this Real-Life Writing entry
Then I went on to complete the two listings I had been working on, one in Bell Buckle, TN, and the other in Monteagle.
Bell Buckle is a straightforward small country town towards Murfreesboro and Shelbyville.
Monteagle is a rustic mountaintop town between Nashville and Chattanooga. It is the home of Sewanee University and was the home of the Fugitives and at least temporarily, the home of Tupper Saussy.
This is a place where you DO NOT DRIVE when it’s foggy. FIRST HAND.
This publication, as I said, is being completed, tweaked, and perfected as we go. Such is my style, so any help or suggestions will be great!
Part of the purpose behind this Substack is to allow me to write and publish daily to give my writing that OUTLIERS (Amazon link) advantage to actually become better. Like practicing the piano. you can read the stories here, but they won’t be mailed to you.
MY NEWSLETTER UPDATE
This is a newsletter about three things.
It is about my writing for those peeps who enjoy my writing.
Folks often ask for pointers on how they might do the same type of writing on the side.
Part of this report will concern building the number of subscribers to this publication.
I have not gone out seeking new subscribers until now.
My next goal is 500 readers, so I must admit I will have to work harder at this. It seems my life has always been driven by goals. That gets things done. At least for me.
I need subscribing to this newsletter to be the goal of 499 more people.
This letter is all free now, with a tip jar if you wish.
Thanks,
-don

MY REAL-LIFE WRITER’S LIFE
Yes, I had soft tacos again last night. Creature of habit. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. I love tacos and hot food. It was suggested that I turn this publication into a taco newsletter.
Maybe I will.

QUESTIONS TO READERS
Do you feel two emails a week are too few, too many, just right? I am thinking of Fridays and Mondays or Tuesdays, for now, but please tell me what you think.
