IT’S BEEN A GREAT DAY SO FAR TODAY.
And then I’m on my way to write today’s journal entry.
At this point, I should remind you that even if I don’t send you this story in your email, it is a BLOG, and the entries are still written and can be viewed from the front page of the publication.
Click the funny square DM in the upper left corner, or bookmark it HERE, if you don’t see the old navy blue and lime green. It does not stand for Direct Message.
POP QUIZ:
Can I still read this crap if it hasn’t been sent to me?
ANSWER:
Yep. Just bookmark the front page so you can find it whenever you need to.
MY NEWSLETTER UPDATE
This is a newsletter about three things.
It is about my writing for those who enjoy it. Here is one way to find some of my stories and I will always have some Medium reposts here for free.
Since many of you have been Googling how to make some bucks writing, here are pointers on how they might do the same type of writing on the side.
Part of this report will concern building the number of subscribers to this publication.
My next goal is 500 readers, so I must admit I will have to work harder at this.
I still need 499 more people.
I THINK I WILL START SENDING THIS NEWSLETTER OUT IN EMAIL ON MON, WED, & FRI, INSTEAD OF JUST MON & FRI. HOLLER UP IF IT GETS TO BE TOO MUCH, AND I’LL TELL YOU HOW YOU CAN SET UP YOUR GMAIL ACCOUNT TO HIDE THEM.
This letter is all free now, with a tip jar somewhere.
Thanks,
-don

REAL-LIFE WRITING, BY ME
Here are some quick stories I published yesterday. ONE and THE OTHER.
REAL-LIFE WRITING, BY SOMEONE ELSE
Here is a story about a contest.
MY REAL-LIFE WRITER’S LIFE
I woke up at about 2am again this morning. I’m not sure why I do that, but I try not to get up until after 5, so that makes for a good bit of thinking and planning time. Currently, I am thinking and planning about my newsletters, and about working more deeply in short stories.
This morning, I was thinking about the age-old question of which weighs more, a pound of feathers or a pound of ball bearings?
Of course, one thought led to another, until I was asking myself which would fall faster, then I thought about earth’s gravitational acceleration was… and the number 32 came up. Later this morning that 32 plus a smidge was indeed confirmed to be the acceleration of gravity on earth. 32 feet per second, per second. I had not even thought about that since I was in school. Wow. But I’m not sure I could recall what I had for dinner last night.

Remember, this newsletter is completely free! If you ever wish, I believe there is a place at the bottom where you can buy me a cup of coffee.
THAT will support the arts!
