I will keep with me.

I am from Nashville and there is a lot of music here, and I have played with music a lot. I have listened to music a lot. And I analyze music a lot.
Every time I watch the show or listen to performers, I have the same aha lesson.
It really doesn’t matter how well-practiced and well-coached an artist is, there is an obvious point when they find their voice and style.
Even when covering another artist’s song, at that point they “own the song” and subsequently “own the audience.”
It’s not always the polish as much as it is the authenticity of that artist/creator.
I take it to heart not to look for perfection and accolades but for reality, to look for my own voice.
For now, thank you for your time. (my profile — Twitter)
