Resolved: A story is rarely made better by the number of reads.
I will attempt to show the quickest way to gather some undeserved glances.
First, take the number of fingers you are showing me by the end of this story. Add two. Use that figure for your number of paragraphs. Divide that number into 150 to be sure you qualify as a short story. Unless you have a lot of crap at the end, which may or may not count toward your word total.
