3 Musts For ANY Success
My continuing rant.

Whenever I am about to do something, the outcome of which is important to me, there are three basic steps and three concepts I understand that I must include for success. Shoot, Iโll even include a trashy video for you to laugh at!
Nobodyโs got time for that.
The first one I would rather not do. Rather not take the time.
In fact, more and more, other people, too, would rather not do the first.
They would rather just start the project and then ask someone what to do next or get some help.
But I have discovered whether itโs in my writing and publishing, or if Iโm repairing a leaky pipe, it may take me 10 minutes to go through these three steps. But if I try to rush into the project without these steps, it will probably take me an hour.
The steps.
So here they are, in the correct and only feasible order.
1. Read carefully, or listen closely to the instructions. They may come with your project or you may have to Google/Youtube them.
2. Do the work carefully, thoroughly, and according to those instructions.
3. Look at your work after youโre finished, to be sure itโs right and to be sure it turned out the way you wanted it to. (Circle back around and do it over if needed.)
This is a very simple process and a very simple rant.
But I work with people daily. I help them do things that are not at all complicated or technical, but things that are very important and need to be done correctly.
Each month that goes by presents me with a general public who cannot or will not read my instructions before they start their project and have to call me for help. Iโm not sure how calling me four or five times saves them any time or effort over just reading the instructions, but thatโs their choice, usually.
The trashy video.
ps. This is so important, I included my trashy, country-sounding video if you read down this far. I know many of you, if you thought this story was instructions, would not have ever gotten down to here, so Iโm pretty safe.
